After analyzing trends of the past couple of decades, nearly all medical professional agree that sperm count in men has been on the decline. Some suggest that pesticides found in common every day foods are to blame while others suggest that environmental and life style factors are play. One thing is for certain, male infertility is on the rise as a result of low sperm count.

While we have very little control over the environment or how our food is grown or which chemicals are used to grow it, we can certainly make some lifestyle changes to help increase sperm count. So, what lifestyle changes do men need to make in order to produce a noticeable increase in sperm count and increase sperm fertility?

First, you need to understand that excessive heat is one of the biggest threats to healthy sperm. This is the key reason why the male testicles are located out side of the body and not housed internally like other organs such as liver or kidneys. To keep the temperature from low you need to make sure the testicles are ventilated and have proper air flow.

You can accomplish this by wearing loose fitted underwear such as boxers instead of the tight jockeys. This will ensure adequate air flow and keep the temperature under control to provide optimal sperm increasing environment. In addition, you should also consider limiting the amount of time you spend in the sauna, hot tub, or other similar activities which could cause the sperm temperature to rise and sperm to defect.

Second, recreational drugs such as marijuana, nicotine, and alcohol should be avoided to substantially increase male fertility. There are far too many toxins found in cigarettes and other drugs which have a negative impact on sperm count. These toxins can damage sperm or severely alter its ability to fertilize the egg.

Third method of increasing sperm count is to modify your diet and eat right. Load up on the fruits and vegetables and cut down on the fatty greasy foods including burgers and fries. Foods high in zinc content including, almonds, chickpeas, wheat germ and bran flakes are particularly helpful to increasing your sperm count. You could also consider using some popular sperm increasing supplements which will work much faster than anything you eat.

Having a baby is the main reason most men want to increase their sperm count. Therefore, in additions to following the above tips to produce more sperm, you should also refrain from masturbating. And if you are trying to conceive, you should have sex first thing in the morning on the day you partner is ovulating. This will substantially increase your chances of impregnating your partner
